Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We offer a free trial lesson for all perspective students to ensure we are finding the perfect teacher-student dynamic. Once we've got that fit made, we work alongside families to pinpoint a day and time that works for their schedule.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All teachers have at least 5 years teaching experience as well as degrees in Music Studies. Many of our teachers are also professional musicians in addition to teaching, giving us a unique opportunity to pull out the inner performer from each student.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Our Studio uses the following price structure:
30 Mins/Week - - $164/month
45 Mins/Week - - $228/month
60 Mins/Week - - $292/month
*We also offer discounts for the families of military or first responders, as well as discounts for multi-student families.
What types of students have you worked with?
Our student has worked with students of all ages. Truly from Birth (MusikGarten Programs) to 70+
We're also proud to have an ADA compliant teaching room so we can work with students of all abilities!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Our studio is proud to have forged strong bonds within the Prosper Community. This summer we had the opportunity to work with 70+ students alongside the Prosper Library for an "Unlocking the Mystery of Music" event. Here our students had the opportunity to share how instruments of all varieties work, how they make sound, and teach students how to play them.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Always make sure that whereever you go teachers are background checked!
We encourage parents to take advantage of trial lessons and really make sure they are clear on the expectations of lessons with their students and speak with the teacher about the goals for their students. This ensures a cohesive plan of learning for everyone!
