About
I started to study classical piano when I was 6. Since then, music has been my life.
I have a bachelor degree of music, and plenty of experience playing in bands, working with many music styles, producing, composing, and teaching.
I have a sense of duty about passing the music to the next generation, or whoever is interested in know this great science. The music!
I love the possibility of teach someone a music instrument, witch is nothing but a new language, a new code, accepted and understood everywhere. And for me, music just open minds and hearts in a practical way. After the music, we are better persons.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I have differents methods according to the age, and previous experience, or if it's a beginner. The lessons are customized for each student.
My goal is make the student feel comfortable with the keys. We achieve this through a mix of music theory and practice. Trying to make them play the song they want as soon as possible.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started to study with 6 years old, with a private teacher. After one year, I started in the Brazilian conservatory of music, where I accomplished the piano technician course. After that, I started in the college. At that time I was already a music teacher.
I taught for private students and in schools. I worked in the public education as an art teacher focused in music in Brazil.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard price is $40 per each 50 min class. If the student want more than one class/week, we can negociate.
How did you get started teaching?
I started to teach in 1996, and did that straight for more than 15 years. After that, because my other music activities, I couldn't keep teaching. But in the last few years, I've organized my own and more effective method to teach.
What types of students have you worked with?
Beginners, starting from 6 years old, and all ages. I had students who wanted to be a pro, and students who wanted to learn just to improve their knowledge.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I'm a hired keyboardist in a church in Garland, and also, I'm participating of a Music play for the Black Academy of Arts and Letters. When I have time, I make some videos for youtube.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
To study music, before all, is to became a better person, with more culture and to know yourself. It's one of the most powerful expression of the human being. If after that, you get talent and want to become a proffessional , that would be a plus.
Parents, don't push your kids to study piano, if they loves just sports. If you dreamed to study piano, do it. I'm here, but don't push your kid instead.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
The questions are:
Do I want to study this specific instrument?
Do I have time ( at least 30min/day)to dedicate to it daily?
Remember, be able to play an instrument, is the closest thing to have super powers, but you need to study, and training. Even the X-Men, need to master their powers!
