Uriel is a great coach and he is extremely patient with you. After taking Muay Thai/Boxing lessons with him, my confidence has grown exponentially and I KNOW self-defense now. Being a small and petite person, I was nervous at first, but Uriel helped me overcome my shyness and made the experience extremely enjoyable. He isnt your average trainer and will break down the movements for you and has high expectations. Ive also taken part of his weight training regimen, which has helped me achieve my goal of gaining more muscle mass.
Whether its for self-defense, losing weight, gaining muscle, regular cardio fitness, Uriel has the program for you! One of the best trainers Ive come across in Houston and the surrounding area.

Uriel is one of the hardest working and knowledgeable coaches I know. On top of being an active fighter that can help you master any standing technique (boxing, kickboxing, and my favorite, Muay Thai) he has, and could do, any workout he puts you through. Uriel is a great motivator, and always brings the jokes along with the motivation. A great dude and a great teacher, check him out, for sure.

Cant say enough about Uriel. He is master of technique and explosive power. True Muay Thai specialist with countless training hrs and travel deticated to his craft. Not may coaches out there that have traveled the distance and invested the time this man has. Its a privilege to have such a high level practitioner here in Houston.

Woody (Uriel) is great. Really upbeat, positive energy and tailors your workout to you. Martial Arts are a great full body workout which also improve your confidence, and Woody is great at breaking down the technique so you are learning correctly and progressing. Highly recommend.

Frequently asked questions

When working with a new student first thing we do is get familiar with each other, my goal is to make sure everyone feels 100% safe and secure within the walls of my facility.

Secondly, we start with a light warm up and stretches and then we dive right into what I have planned for the day.

Military background

10+ years of Muay Thai training under legitimate trainer Kru Pong (teacher/fighter out of Thailand which is where Muay Thai originated from).

Years of cross training with different trainers and fighters and adding to my tool box along the way!

Pricing depends on the time requested and will also vary on whether it is a one time session or a bundle, one on one lesson or group. Please contact me for details!!

To be honest it was never my intent to start teaching, I was training and fighting for my trainer and one day he told me that I had a special eye for what we do and asked if I would help him out by becoming an instructor.

I trained under him and learned how to teach and how to communicate with students to get the point across and now years later here I am, again never was my intent but now is what I live for doing!

All kinds of people from 4 year old kits to 60+ Men and women. Contruction workers all the way up to Doctors and Lawyers, Muay Thai and Boxing isn't just a one size fits all you would be surprised at who you will work with on a daily! Muay Thai is for everyone, especially people who are looking to challenge themselves!

Do your research and if the price sounds to good to be true or to cheap then you are probably getting sub par training. Like the saying goes, "Free training isn't good, and good training isn't good."
