Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student first thing we do is get familiar with each other, my goal is to make sure everyone feels 100% safe and secure within the walls of my facility.
Secondly, we start with a light warm up and stretches and then we dive right into what I have planned for the day.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Military background
10+ years of Muay Thai training under legitimate trainer Kru Pong (teacher/fighter out of Thailand which is where Muay Thai originated from).
Years of cross training with different trainers and fighters and adding to my tool box along the way!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing depends on the time requested and will also vary on whether it is a one time session or a bundle, one on one lesson or group. Please contact me for details!!
How did you get started teaching?
To be honest it was never my intent to start teaching, I was training and fighting for my trainer and one day he told me that I had a special eye for what we do and asked if I would help him out by becoming an instructor.
I trained under him and learned how to teach and how to communicate with students to get the point across and now years later here I am, again never was my intent but now is what I live for doing!
What types of students have you worked with?
All kinds of people from 4 year old kits to 60+ Men and women. Contruction workers all the way up to Doctors and Lawyers, Muay Thai and Boxing isn't just a one size fits all you would be surprised at who you will work with on a daily! Muay Thai is for everyone, especially people who are looking to challenge themselves!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Do your research and if the price sounds to good to be true or to cheap then you are probably getting sub par training. Like the saying goes, "Free training isn't good, and good training isn't good."
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
