About
Welcome! I have been teaching piano for 35 years. Graduated from Moscow Conservatory I taught piano, theory and history of music on all levels of music education in Moscow, Russia. in the year of 2000 I moved to Houston and worked in one of the universities as a piano professor for 13 years. Now I have my own studio. In my teaching I focus on learning musical language: expression, sound and building musical phrases. That's what makes my students sound unique and perform successfully. Knowledge of all piano methods and repertoire of all styles allows me to adjust my teaching to the student's needs. My students participate in local and state piano events and contests every year and always get awarded. Teaching piano is my life. I accept students of all ages who have a real piano at home.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I prefer to take beginners without previous experience. I ask parents to be present on the lessons. The first priority is a hand position and the sound. We usually start with funny easy exercises and games for the posture at the piano, wrist and fingers position. I use Suzuki, Bastien and Alfreds methods depending on student's personality and abilities. The beginning of playing piano is a very important stage. It's a foundation for the future successful performances and understanding the art of music. I work with transfered and adult students as well. My goal is to make them feel comfortable in their new class and make faster progress.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I got my Bachelor Degree from State Gnessin Music College, Moscow, Russia and Masters in Music Education and Piano performance from Moscow Conservatory, Russia.
