I've been a musician for almost 20 years; there's nothing that compares to it! I believe that anyone can learn to play or sing if you are willing to work at it. I've toured all over the U.S. and Canada, and I can tell you from experience, it's amazing what you can accomplish if you're willing to just go for it!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
New students will have an evaluation to determine their skill level and what we need to work on first. From there, we will begin to learn new skills and techniques, as well as new songs to apply them in.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been a musician and singer for almost 20 years, I'm a live sound engineer as well as the head of the Music Department at my local church, and I have a B.A. in Music with a study focus on band and vocal training.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Lessons will take place once a week. Half-hour lessons will be $120 per month and 1 hour lessons will be $200 per month.
How did you get started teaching?
I've had several people ask for lessons over the years. I taught my first student when I was 17 and I've always loved teaching, but my experiences at college and while touring really made me want to share everything I've learned with the world!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
There are many things I could say, but there are two pieces of advice I always give: first, whether or not I end up as your teacher, find someone with plenty of experience. It takes time to learn the ins and outs of music, so find someone who's had plenty of time to learn what the wrong was is so that they can teach you the right way the first time. Secondly, you get what you pay for. A good teacher knows what they're worth, but if you're only paying $60 a month for lessons, you're really not even getting your money's worth.
