About

I will teach in a different way, applying principles of music in ways that are specific to what a student wants to do with music. Every student has different goals and will get a specific approach in their lessons.

I also offer lessons in the student's home so that the students and/or parents do not have to take their own time to drive to a studio. It is a great convenience that most hardworking people are willing to pay a little extra for.

I am passionate about music as my calling. I enjoy helping students to work toward excellence and individuality, so that they may stand out among the mediocre and the copycats.

Josh is an amazing teacher! Our 8 year old is excited for his guitar lesson every week! Josh is very good at communicating the lesson on our 8 year olds level so that the lesson sinks in. We’ve only had a handful of lessons so far but we are very happy with the overall experience thus far!

Both of my kids have been doing lessons (guitar and piano) with Josh for several months and we couldn’t be more pleased with Josh’s instruction. He works well with both kids and is always available to answer any questions. Highly recommend Josh’s services and James G Music!

I studied music in college, aimed toward a job leading worship in the church. I discovered along the way that I am passionate about teaching musical excellence to students.

Children as young as 4, middle and high school students, college students, peers, and folks upwards of 70.

Hire a teacher who is passionate about music. If music is not a passion, it is not worth fully pursuing.

What are your goals in music? A career? Just a hobby?
