About

I am the seventh generation of an unbroken line from Francisco Tarrega who first established guitar as a concert instrument in early 19th century. I’ve been teaching Spanish classical guitar for over ten years.

Education as a whole but perhaps, The thing I worry about the most, some student exposed to Music by other music “teachers”. My curriculums so far beyond any college’s college paper that has a method. Instructors don’t have and have a true system and thusly their students are still lost. Instructor such as myself are the only maestros qualified to not only speak on this hyper complex music theory behind harmony

    Frequently asked questions

In working with a new student my primary process and the initial lesson is guiding them away from misinformation and or rehabilitating them from the miss information that has caused series detriment to their ability. I do this by utilizing a Spanish guitar method but that of course is the guitar was invented in Spain is the only complete method book that will teach you everything you need to know about a guitar and how to move a string in order to accomplish any sound. There are no other method books on earth like this and this method book was written by someone within my lineage about five generations ago

I completed a seven year apprenticeship, and continue to study under my master the great maestro than Word. The only true apprentice of Micheal Dailey. I also study with Micheal Dailey when I was getting my degree at Texas Wesleyan University. And I am a master Guitarist myself

$60 an hour one hour lesson a week at least.

My father was invited to master classes by Christopher Parkening and the head of the royal family of Spanish guitar, Pepe Romero during his apprenticeship under the late great Micheal Dailey who studied with Andres Segovia and apprenticed under Ramos In Mexico City. So it's kind of in my DNA to play and teach guitar. I made my professional performance debut at 13 and taught my first professional guitar lesson at age 12.

I have worked with students ranging from age 3 to 92, this wind range range includes many professionals many students who went on to earn scholarships and graduate college for guitar, many students who simply engaged in a professional career in the middle of their studies and are still professionals to this day, as well as individuals who are there to simply get a change of scenery or Horse around the whole time or neglect educational together. But regardless I'm experienced enough to know how to handle each and everyone of the situation's and I've never had a bad lesson

The most recent event that I am most fond of is mine student over the last summer getting a scholarship to his dream school as a result of the college audition prep that we did in his guitar classes that allowed him to play a piece of repertoire that apparently wowed the Board of doctors giving out scholarships. Anyway and his family very thankful and it is very rewarding

The only advice to give to a student hire a teacher with my expertise that's not really advice at all. I would simply make them aware of the fact that there are no teachers with my expertise in the United States excluding Pepe Romero Dan Word Chrisopher Parkening and myself Jules Word. We are all part of the lineage of which I am seventh generation direct descendent from the man who invented the technique for the guitar, Francisco Tarrega. To learn guitar from anybody that I have not listed it's not only a waste of money but it's a risk to the kinesthetic Health of any prospective students hands. There are thousands of so-called guitar teachers that even teach at universities such as Tom Johnson at North Texas that teach a technique that will  inflict  carpal tunnel and tenonitis so bad on their students that they will never be able to perform in their life after they study with someone like Tom Johnson at the University of North Texas.

Where did the guitar come from? When did it become a concert instrument? Who was the first person to develop a healthy and completely affective technique for the guitar? Does my teacher have any master apprentice association with the man who invented the technique for this instrument? If not what am I doing other than wasting my money and crippling myself? If I don't read music am I illiterate light somebody who's uneducated and can't read?
