About
Using my extensive performing and education experience, I teach students with passion and intent. Music theory, blues guitar, drumset, jazz bass, and rudimental drumming are just some of what I love to teach.
I love helping people. And I love music. So helping people learn to love music is the best way I can spend my time!

We will chat to determine goals, current skill level, and favorite type of music. From there we will make a plan and get to work!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been playing music for 17 years. I've played guitar and bass in jazz, rock, blues, country, marching band, and musical orchestra settings. I have performed with and taught multiple drum corps and indoor percussion groups for the past 6 years.

I have worked with students from age 5 to age 25. People with years of experience and people with none! I am always willing to teach anyone I feel qualified to.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for a "culture fit". Make sure the person teaching you doesn't make you feel pressured or awkward. For instance, I run my lessons very organically. We'll chat about stuff, then work on it. Any questions are welcome and there's no such thing as a dumb question. It is my job to teach you! You should be comfortable asking me about things you don't know.
