About
I've been playing the piano since I was a small child. Music, which I love, has been my life. I play organ for church services and other social events. I have made recordings and play for weddings and funerals all over Houston area. I have been teaching for over 40 years and love every minute of it. It is a joy helping people learn to play the piano and/or organ from the beginning student to someone that wants to improve and upgrade their quality of playing. I teach children and adults of all ages.
I have my studio set apart in my own home and teach on a grand piano. I keep a musical library here for your convenience so you don't have to find the correct music books yourselves. I choose the music individually for each student which I think is very important.
Call me for further details and I will be happy to answer any questions that you have.
I have had the honor of having a student get a full college scholarship with his piano skills! He started with me as a small boy and continued until his HS Graduation. I am very proud of his accomplishments!
It is a joy to see my students improve their own musical abilitys of being able to play songs on the piano and increase their love of playing!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first find out the kind of music they are interested in and focus on this kind of music for their lesson plan, but also interweave fingerwork and a study book to go along with this. If the student is brand new to music, Middle C is introduced on the piano itself and on the staff paper and we branch out from there, one note at a time. I do not give the student more than they can handle each week, but also give them all that the student can practice in that length of time. We discuss the situation at hand and go from there.
