About
I graduated Magna Cum Laude from North Texas State University (now UNT) in Denton, TX. I am a member of Texas Federation of Music Clubs. They host an annual competition in which most of my students choose to participate. I have been teaching in Austin for 25 years. Prior to that I lived in Denton, TX and taught as a graduate assistant at Texas Woman's University. I am open to teaching all styles and really try to tailor lessons to fit the needs and desires of the individual student. I have taught special needs students .. ADD, autistic, blind (but I am not by any means an expert in any of those fields). When working on my Masters Degree, I took 20 hours toward a degree in Music Therapy. I later changed to a Piano Performance major.

Ask if you can pay for a single lesson, just to try it out. Ask them about their experience, if they offer performing opportunities (e.g. recital). Ask for referrals from present and past students.
