It is a fun journey learning piano from Hai Chi. She has great personality, super patient and tolerant for a newbie like myself. With her comprehensive knowledgeable on piano and music in general, I do appreciate that she can still think from student’s perspective and invest new learning methods. Learning piano with her has been quite fun and rewarding.

    Frequently asked questions

Before starting a piano lesson, I would love to have a short interview to know my future student's necessary learning background and target and share my teaching philosophy and policy. Importantly, I will offer a simple knowledge background test to evaluate students' levels and write them down. Also, it can help me to find an effective teaching method and some good method books to begin.

My student will learn piano playings, music theory, ear training, sight-reading, and sight-singing in the piano lesson.

I will have a more advanced knowledge background test at the end of each semester to record. Then, let students compare their history tests to know what they make progress on clearly and what they have to work even harder next semester.

My thoughts working with a new student become my students' listener, observer, and professional instructor with my personalized, fun, resourceful teaching method.
