This is Rita. I'm interested in teaching the piano for all different ages. I have both bachelor and master degree in Music, and I've been teaching music for 15 years.
I have trained under Kodály and Orff music education for children and adults. I tailor the private lessons to each student’s needs, include different teaching methods from group to one-one lesson.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I have communication with students before the lesson start. Like what pieces they've played, any experience from learning instruments or the difficulties they had. We can reach the goal together.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have both bachlor and master degree in music. I'm a certified music teacher in public Elemantary School. I had training for different music teaching methods (Kodaly, Orff, Dalcroze) from school. I also did the researh of teaching method for past few years. Now I use different teaching methods based on students needs.

How did you get started teaching?
Students play few songs they like for me first. And I'll see how to make it better for their skills by music books or the song they like.
I use some instruemts for students to learn as well. Let them know the knowledge in music theory.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Need a good communication between teachers and students. Teachers can ecourage students from teaching, caring and teaching the students by the clear instruction.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students/ Parents could think about the goals or past conditions from learning the instruments before the new class start. And talking to new teachers to see how to reach the studnets/ parents needs.
