My Name is Candace "Mahogany" Miller. I and my colleagues are all performers as well as Educators. We love to keep our classes fun and upbeat, teaching the fundamentals while exploring the evolution of the music world! We are a center dedicated to art for the whole family. Music is a great way to stimulate our minds and a great outlet for our energy! Our students range in age from 3yrs old to 95yrs old. We want to see families find fun and creative things to do in the home beyond TV and digital devices! And if we must use digital services, let's be innovative and use them to create!
I enjoy seeing the minds of the students work! When we see the results of hard work and practice and we realize that we CAN make music.. We CAN create art... The success and desire to grow is the best!

I attended an event that the Center had featuring a local jazz artist. Ms Miller talked about the programs and lessons at the center. I signed my children up for classes and we have been coming ever since. Thats about 2 yrs. THANKS JAZZ BECUZZ
Great space. My daughter enjoys her lessons and Ms Miller is a fun teacher. She looks forward to going every week.
We really enjoy the whole experience at Jazz Becuzz. It's an artistic environment. Our kids enjoy just being there. The teachers are fun and work well with the children. Good place!
I enjoy meeting and working with any student at any level. I always like to have a meet and greet where the student can come by, talk with me and share a bit about who they are and what they love and would like to accomplish. I will answer any questions and then we can set our lesson schedule if we are on one accord! I have many types of students - children and adult students on new instruments, exploring multiple instruments, students who work in professional fields who need one time or periodic special training or coaching. I want to accommodate you and hope that you enjoy and come again and again!
I have over 25 years of professional experience. My studies range from one on one training to studies at Berklee School of Music. I have 4 creative children of my own ages 9-22 of my own so life is probably one of the best teachers of all. I am a working musician. My professional field is jazz. I sing with several notable jazz bands, big bands and even play with a few world renowned corporate bands (we do popular music!) I also have a staff of amazing musicians / artist who are proficient in their craft. Please visit our website for information.. www.jazzbecuzzac.com
We have a range for our pricing that is really based on the length of the lesson. Our prices are relatively low because our goal is to create music pioneers, not to get rich! $80-$130 per month and if you add siblings it's half of the class fee selected. ONce we assess things we can give you a solid quote!
I have alwasy had a teachers heart. I think it all started with my cabbage patch kids and barbies, lined in a row on my bed. But seriously, My mother was a teacher and I come from a family of musicians. My teaching starting when I begin producing music at the early age of 11! Believe it or not I got the opportunity write music and songs for artist in the music industry and have not stopped yet.in church choir. I was hired at 18 to run a music department for a large church. What a TASK! Needless to say I have been doing it ever sense.
I have students who are simply looking to get better at what they do. Ialso have students and former students who do Theater, videos, who are pursuing careers in major theater and commercial music settings and have professional booking agents, travel to auditions and act. The music styles vary as well. Some explore jazz and blues while others are in pop and Hip Hop. We have students who also still assistance in thier worship duties in various CCM and Gospel settings. Our staff and Resident instructors are great!
I am EXTREMELY fond of the more recent movement of YouTube and VINE celebrity artists. People who are talented and have the bravery to boldly share. This is a great transition for thos eof us from an older way of learning and sharing music! I encourage students to both learn the fundimentals of music as well as explore their heart and creativity.
Find a teacher you trust, who is honest but encouraging. Some students need something a little more hard core, while others need a gentle hand. Explore in a creative environment you love and dont feel hindered. Dont ever let anyone put out your artistic fire and view EVERY opportunity as a learning one. You can turn any strained experience into a valuable tool!
Ask yourself: where I am going with this? Am I willing to do the work I'm assigned to do on order to improve? Do I understand that things take time and results may not be come over night, but will come soon if I do my part?
