My name is Amy Pikler, and I am passionate about teaching violin, viola, and recorder to students of all ages. Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your skills, I'm here to help you reach your musical goals.

One on One Lesson Services:

In person lessons for violin, viola, and recorder (must be located inside of San Antonio, Texas)

I offer in person lessons at my apartment and do not travel to your location unless it is located within the North Star Mall area

Online lessons for violin, viola, and recorder (CAN be located outside the local area)

Lesson scheduling and payment policy

I will not confirm your lesson time(s) until payment is received. Please see my lesson rates listed below:

Lesson rates (add $3 to each rate for credit/debit card payment)

$40 per half hour weekly (minimum of three sessions per month)

$60 per forty five minutes weekly (minimum of three sessions per month)

$70 per hour weekly (minimum of three sessions per month)

$45 per half hour every other week (minimum of two sessions per month)

$65 per forty five minutes every other week (minimum of two sessions per month)

$75 per hour every other week (minimum of two sessions per month)

$50 per half hour once a month

$70 per forty five minutes once a month

$80 per hour once a month

Lesson Package Discount Rate (add $5 to each rate for credit/debit card payment)

$155- four half hour sessions per month

$195- five half hour sessions per month

$235- four forty five minute sessions per month

$295- five forty five minute sessions per month

$275- four one hour sessions per month

$345- five one hour sessions per month

Additional Online Instruction Option

Also, for students with at least one year of playing experience, located either inside or outside of San Antonio, I exclusively offer an online technique course and masterclass focusing on essential instrumental techniques such as left-hand position and bowing straight. This course is effective for different learning styles and increases effectiveness of individual practice sessions which will help you reach your desired goals and results faster. If you enroll in the course, you will have ongoing access to the course content, be able to track your progress with a progress tracker, and have access to direct feedback sooner than in weekly private lessons.

Online Program Trial Option

I will offer a free two week trial of my online program as long as you are a current one on one private student. After the two week trial, payment in full will be due or you will need to enroll in one of my payment plans. Failure to make payment on a payment plan for the online program will result in loss of access to the online program.

About Me:

I'm also a musician in the San Antonio Philharmonic, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to my teaching. I have performed with other major symphony orchestras including the Grand Teton Music Festival Orchestra, Fort Worth Symphony, Utah Symphony, and Chicago Symphony. My father, Charles Pikler, was principal violist of the Chicago Symphony for many years.
