What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Gain an understanding of the student's goals, discuss the schedule and desires timeline, establish a customized program then begin training.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Formal experience as a boxer, Golden Gloves champion and many years of training as a boxer.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Most sessions will last for 1 hour unless otherwise specified at a rate of $20 per session. Reduced rates are available for a series of sessions.
How did you get started teaching?
I started per the request of fitness center colleagues who appreciated my experience and training techniques.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students of all types from beginners to experienced boxers as well as those wishing to lose weight or improve overall health and fitness.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be sure to work with a teacher who understands the sport and the technical aspects of boxing. You also need someone who will push you at an acceptable and reasonable pace.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Be sure to understand your goals and what you want to accomplish. Take time to think this through from both a short-term and long-term perspective.
