Learning music is a great gift not only for enjoyment but also for developing mindfulness and self expression, for children and adults alike. I believe in developing students’ talents by using a well rounded method that encompasses a good musical and technical balance.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Will start with a get to know each other session. To understand how the student learn in other settings, e.g. school, what their experience have been with music, their favorite style of music. Have the students play or sing something if they are willing to. From the initial impression then I can decide the teaching materials and curriculum.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied music with piano being the principal instrument at TWU. To prepare myself as a piano teacher, I took piano pedagogy class at TWU. In addition, I have obtained certificate of "Strong Foundation for Young Pianists" offered by The Frandces Clark Center, as well as attended Piano Foundational Formula class with Carmen Morin. I am also a member of Tonebase online community to continue to learn and explore the music world.
How did you get started teaching?
I have been teaching children and adult beginner since taking my piano pedagogy class.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
A teacher with good knowledge of expertise area and who is mindful in knowing your learning style and able to teach effectively according to the learning style.

Their goals in taking lessons.
