About
Although my background is in sound design and audio production, I love music and I love to teach! My other full occupation is a professor. I have 11 years of guitar and bass experience, which I teach. My musical background is eclectic as it extends to percussion and keys as well. I have played various instruments for churches and various organizations non-stop since learning 11 years ago--at one point playing 6 times per week.
I love helping people learn! The metaphorical "light-bulb" that pops up over my students' heads drives me.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always try to connect with new students personally, and figure out their background and needs. In order to learn properly, the student has to trust me. A healthy, trustful relationship with the client transcends even the lessons. I may not always be able to cater to specific preferences, but I am good at listening and can pinpoint where the students struggle.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In addition to experience playing, I have taught various lessons to students of all ages. I also direct a church band, so I am able to teach how various instruments flow and should work together.
