Welcome! We are The Kirbys. Our teaching focuses on the student's strengths and reasons for learning. We ensure that students are taught from a personalized curriculum that brings them closer to their goals while emphasizing the music fundamentals that will prepare and enrich them for life. Our goal is to help you reach the next level in your music. We are both highly educated professional touring musicians who believe in providing a well-rounded musical education with both classical and popular techniques so that students are prepared for wherever their music takes them. We typically start with a free evaluation to make sure we’re a good fit.

Andrew Kirby is an accomplished American composer and musician with over 20 years of experience in audio engineering, television and film scoring. Andrew studied Vocal and Piano Performance, Composition and Music Business at Abilene Christian University. Throughout his career, Andrew has shared the stage with a variety of well-known musicians across California and his home state of Texas. A multi-instrumentalist, he began honing his craft at a young age and has become known for his mastery of piano, guitar, keyboards, and vocals.

Kate Kirby is a singer/songwriter and classically trained musician who began her musical journey playing French horn in bands and orchestras across Texas and New Mexico. Kate earned her Bachelor’s of Arts with K-12 Certification in Music Education from Texas Tech University. Today, Kate is a versatile performer, playing bass, acoustic guitar, drums and percussion, but it’s her songwriting and connection with audiences that truly drive her passion. Her music speaks to listeners across the globe, with her original songs and vocal ability taking center stage.
