About
The first lesson is free so that I can get to know the student and his/her goals. As well, you only pay for the lessons actually taken. That's a big difference from most other studios. Finally, lessons over Skype or Zoom are extremely convenient, and provide the same level of instruction as in-person.
Music has been a part of my life for 40 years, whether as a student, a teacher, a performer, or an enthusiastic listener. You will see from the reviews I have received from students and parents, that I love teaching the piano. I want to share my love of music and encourage people to incorporate music in their daily lives.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first lesson is free so that I can get to know the student and his or her goals. After that, I recommend the materials that need to be purchased, and we are on our way.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. I studied piano performance. I have been teaching for over twenty years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$25 per half hour. I give a $5 discount for each additional student in the household and/or new students referred to me. Maximum of 3 $5 discounts.
How did you get started teaching?
When I was 16, my sister's piano teacher was hiring for an assistant teacher for the studio. I applied and was hired. Eventually, I was responsible for the studio during the summer months. I then left when I turned 18 to go to college, but still continued to teach piano privately.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with children, teens, and adults. I teach classical and popular music. I have taught 5 year olds to 74 year olds.
