Music is a language, a form of communication, and I delight in sharing music with my students and their families.  It's my goal to work myself out of a job by helping each student be successful in mastering music.  I also have a goal for every student, no matter what level they are, to experience the joy that making music brings!

"Music washes from the soul the dust of everyday life." (Berthold Auerbach)

Teresa taught kindermusic to four of my grandchildren years ago. They each developed a love and appreciation for music as a result of this early exposure. Teresa is patient, loving, and talented. I highly recommend her as a music teacher.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Music is fun and joyful, and there's no reason why lessons cannot be the same!

I encourage questions from the student, and I am continually trying to learn how the student learns, so I can use the best method of teaching for that person individually.   My goals for all my students are to master music and come to know the joy that making music brings!

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Almost every week my students share with me their excitement in making music that week, and I love to see their faces light up!

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Meet the teacher in person so you can see if it will be a good fit for you.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Think about what questions you may have concerning policies, practice requirements, instrument requirements, methods, fun, and "off-the-bench" activities during lessons.
