Gospel Music Enterprises, Inc (GME) teaching methodologies includes the use of techology (Virtual Piano Lessons) to supplement studio lessons; Students must be serious and committed to learning; Lessons assignments are given in advanced of scheduled lessons. Strong expectations are students have practiced/completed assignments prior to engaging in live piano lessons in the Studio-Residence. Cost is commensurate with type of lessons seeking; Basic or Gospel Piano. Howze enjoys applying teaching skills he acquired while serving in Military and Corporate environments. He emphase that students use their creative-inovating skills to develop their own unique style in playing the Piano, Gospel Music; e.g. chording, improvisation and rhythm applications. Howze experiences great joy and pride in seeing students develop to become accompanished musicians from the training acquired through GME for piano lessons. JDH

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
1. New students are provided an Assessment Survey, via Email. Survey includes identification of musical goals, current knowledge of their music and ability to play the Piano; assessibilith to a Smartphone, iPad and/or Personal Computer; student's desired lesson duration; e.g. 30, 45 or 60 mins; how often lessons are desired; e.g. weekly, 2x monthly, monthly; availability for week evenings and Saturday lessons, and how long lessons are desired; e.g. 6 months, 1, 2 or 3 years. Student's Survey is analyzed and results are communicated to student and/or parents. Subsequently, Orientation, review of Standing Operating Procedures, demonstration of Howze, Piano Instructor, musical skills, and if all are in agreement, studio lessons begin.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Joe Howze, Sr received formal piano and organ lessons in developing his musical skills, at an early age. He has played in a variety of faiths of churches in Alabama, North Carolina, Texas, Washington DC, Virginia, Maryland, Korea, and Germany.
His musicial experiences includes Minister of Music, Director, Pianist, and Organist.

Pricing for lessons is structured in accordance with type of lesson enrolled and time duration for each lesson ; e.g. Basic, Gospel or combination of both; 30, 45, or 60 mins.
How did you get started teaching?
Howze started teaching piano lessons from the inquiries of parents and children, often from chruch congregation members.
What types of students have you worked with?
Young and Old; from age 8 to 65; males and females.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The awarding of "Super Star" and "Awesome" stickers to a young student who demonstrated and accomplished his Piano assignment BEYOND what was assigned!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Develop a "passion" to learn or expand their musical talents which can provide wholesome rewards and benefits for self development and an inspiration to others with their music.

What are their short, medium and long term musical goals?
What is it they desire to accomplish in music within 3, 6, 12, and 24 months?
