About
I prefer that students enjoy what they're learning, it's easier to learn when you're having fun!
I've worked with a variety of ages (4-65) and backgrounds (inlcuding special needs/learning disabilities).
I take student input very seriously, so you get a say in what you learn.
Aside from being a working musician out in the field. With teaching I absolutely love seeing "lightbulb" moments. These are the moments where the information finally "clicks" in the student's brain, you can see a wonderful look of understanding on their face and it is so rewarding.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to take the first lesson to assess skill level and introduce the student to how I like to run my lessons. We work on a few warm ups and answer any questions, then pick out a song or two for the student to focus on.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor of Music from Wayne State University and Master of Music from George Mason, 8 years of independent teaching experience, and a lifetime of performing!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$60/hour
$45/45 min
$30/30 min
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages, all backgrounds, any genre! I specialize in classical music, however I have taken special interest in pop music over the last few years since so many of my students have such heavy interest.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The most important thing is feeling comfortable! Music is a very vulnerable thing, and when we learn we are opening ourselves up, find a teacher that helps you feel comfortable while navigating the concepts.
