About
My name is Tatiana, I am Brazilian, I am 40 years old, 2 children and married 10 years with Paulo, he is also a musician. I have been graduated in Classical Piano since 1995 by the Musical Conservatory of Guarulhos - Brazil. I am a teacher of children and adults since 2013. I love teaching.. My classes take 45 minutes and each class is $ 25. I give beginner class in classical piano with reading of sheet music. I use books by Nancy Faber (Piano Adventure), John Thompson and other composers. I like to do recitals twice a year when I'm in town. In Florida I did 6 recitals and Brazil I did 2 recitals. It was different and the students liked it a lot.
I like to see children learning with joy something I taught. It's gratifying! Iam creative.
I use as a support a program for anyone who has the IPAD. This program is fantastic for the monitoring and development of the student. If the student does not have IPAD, I work with the printed books.
I have a facebook page with some students class, look: facebook.com/tatipianoclass

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Firstly, I need to know if the student can read the sheet music or play it by ear. If play, I ask to show me playing something. Soon after I start classes using John Thompson's Easiest Piano Course and we are going together evolving in books and music.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been graduated in Classical Piano since 1994 by the Brazilian Music Conservatory in the city of Guarulhos, Sao Paulo. I did some Musicalization and Storytelling courses for children.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Each class costs $ 25 and payment is made by Paypal. Classes are prepaid per month or per class. But it is necessary that the student does at least 4 classes per month. If the student can not do it and misses the class, the class must be paid. If the teacher can not teach because something problem, the student does not have to pay for this lesson, unless the teacher can replace it.
How did you get started teaching?
I've been a teacher since I graduated. But only living in the United States (2013) did I effectively teach classes for children and adults.
What types of students have you worked with?
I give face-to-face classes for children from 5 years old and I teach online from 10 years old and adults.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I advise you to take a test lesson to see if he likes the teacher and the teaching method.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
It would be interesting for the student to talk about why he would like to learn a new instrument.
