Lola Abdulhalikzade is a trained concert pianist and teacher. Born in the central Asian nation of Tajikistan, she started to play the piano at age 5. Attending a special school for gifted and talented kids for 11 years, Lola played in many regional competitions and ultimately with world-reknowned pianist Eugeniy Kissin. Lola now has been teaching piano for more then 15 years, using a special method developed after years of experience teaching children and teens. She is a member of the Music Teacher National Association. Lola takes a personal interest in each child or teen she teaches, working to help each one discover his or her own individual talent -- even at a very early age.
Her students participate in numerous different events and competitions, including:
2014 - Concert at the United States Congress.
2014 - Charity Concert in Washington DC to benefit Kiev Hospital #17.
2013 - Concert at the Embassy Of Ukraine in Washington DC.
2013 - Fundraising Concert for nonprofit in northern Virginia.
You can find videos and photos of Lola's students performing at these Concerts and annual recitals on this website. She believes that even if a student might not become a concert level pianist, the ability to understand music and play will bring him or her lifelong skills, fulfillment and experiences. Lola speaks English, Russian, Turkish, and Tajik.
