I always knew I wanted to teach and help people with what they love doing. I am very fortunate I get to combine that with my other favorite thing, music!
I perform professionally in Virginia and DC while teaching Chorus part-time in public school and private lessons for voice, piano, and saxophone. Every day is exciting!
I started playing piano at 5, saxophone at 9, and singing at 16. Every instrument has helped me be better at the others. In college, I was a music education major and in both the band and chorus, because I couldn't just pick one! After that, I really wanted to learn the science of voice and how to teach, so I got my master's in voice pedagogy. Since then I've sung in Italy, Michigan, Illinois, New Jersey, and more. Performing has helped my teaching and teaching my performing.
