Belton expansive expertise about strength training, fitness and health. He will modify workouts if necessary to address injuries yet knows when to push you because he believes you can do better before you believe it yourself. I will always highly recommend Warrior Strength Martial Arts.

Ive been training with Belton for over 8 years - and study strength training, and martial arts during our private training sessions. He is incredibly knowledgeable and always strives to improve his skills so that he can help his students to continue to improve. He is truly a teacher who listens to his students, and helps them to realize their potential both physically and mentally. His background and experience is immense, and he brings together many disciplines as well as physical movement, physical health, nutrition, proper strength training techniques, Z-Health, NSI, Balintawak, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Would highly recommend Belton!

Oh man, where do I even start with Warrior Strength Martial Arts! I came across the gym as I was visiting several schools in search of a home, and am so grateful. I had been searching for a few years for a gym that teaches authentic Muay Thai. I was a beginner so it was important to me to find the right gym to teach proper mechanics. Immediately upon entering the gym I felt very welcomed by Kru Yai Belton Lubas! He exudes nothing but friendliness and professionalism. There was no pressure, no judgement, just hard work and building of confidence in self and the art. Belton really invests in his students, and not only teaches his students to be good fighters but to be good people on and off the mats.

Kru Yai Belton has a great way of breaking down the intricacies of the sport, so that you gain a better understanding of how to execute them. As a professional fighter with over 20 amateur fights I needed some one with this ability. So if you’re a fighter looking to gain that extra edge, or someone simply looking for some great self defense or just want to get in shape while learning something new you should definitely hit up warrior strength Martail Arts.

Frequently asked questions

I would like to understand their goals within the Art they are wanting to learn. Their goal will better help me plan out their structured curriculum.  I also want them to understand that I am looking for students who want to GROW and LEARN rather than the quick fix approach.  I also want students who can be great ambassadors of the art they are practicing and become the martial artist they want to be.

I originally started coaching at Oregon State University.   I was the lead strength coach for the school gym.  I then coached the Women’s Volleyball club team at the University, moved onto coaching high school teams, became the head athletic trainer and strength coach at Redmond High School, and then ran numerous facilities with other strength coaches that reported to me.  I then revitalized my interest in martial arts and started coaching martial arts.

find a connection to that teacher and your learning will be enhanced.  Having credentials is one thing, but coaching and teaching is a skill and an art within itself.  Some are great athletes but horrible coaches.  Find one you resonate with and one you can relate to so that it creates and fosters a healthy learning environment.
