Frequently asked questions

New students are invited to come to the studio for a free lesson and interview. This is an opportunity to explore the piano, meet the teacher and get a feel for what piano lessons are like. Foundational musical skills are introduced while assessing readiness for lessons and determining what program will best fit the student going forward. Ask all the questions you like in the interview and be ready to answer a few yourself regarding your musical interests and goals. I look forward to meeting you!

Tuition is calculated on an annual basis and split into equal monthly payments for simpler billing and because tuition covers much more than just the time spent at your lesson. Please see bassettpiano.weebly.com for studio policy and current tuition rates.

Teaching piano has been my passion since I was 16. Music brings joy and helps us grow and become better humans. It has been my privilege to help others discover the joy of music over the years. Music study benefits all ages in so many ways- emotionally, physically, and mentally. I have seen this in my own life and in my students’ lives.

Through piano and voice lessons I have worked with students in Pre-K, elementary, middle and high school as well as adults from 18-88. In Musikgarten classes I worked with toddlers and preschoolers. I truly believe music is for all ages. I have worked with students of all ability levels from absolute beginner to advanced.

Every year my students have many opportunities to share their music with others and grow as musicians including Halloween/spring performance parties, performing in nursing homes, piano festivals, musicianship exams, and culminating with our Spring Recital and celebration at the end of each school year.
