Vanessa's Bio Materials:
Music, and especially Singing, has been the love of Vanessa's life from
the very beginning, when she sang songs before she even talked! Ever
since then she has sung, created music with everything that she could
get her hands on, performed, studied, written, recorded, televised,
taught, and earnestly sought after the Secrets of Sound and how it
affects everything in and around us.
Trained for years by one of the Metropolitan Opera's most beloved Voice
Coaches, Vanessa brings to the world of music a wonderfully varied
Performing and Teaching career ranging from Opera to Broadway. She is
an award winning Poet, and holds a BA degree in Music Performance from
the School of Fine and Applied Arts of Boston University. Vanessa has
produced, hosted, sung, and broadcast in her two long-running series
over 2,500 television programs, concertized and spoken in the US and
abroad, recorded nine albums in various languages, co-authored an Early
Childhood Education book, authored three poetry books and accompanying
audio books, teaches Voice to her private and group students, and has just
recently published the first two books and cd's in a series of Voice
Training lessons designed to enable each person to fully develop and
release the power, freedom, and beauty of their own unique voice. All
this experience has been enhanced by years of research and current
lectures in the field of Voice/sound, and the science/spiritual truths behind
its uses, not only for our enjoyment, but also for its powerful
influences in our personal and professional lives, and in the formation
of our culture.

Here's a few recommendations that some of my students have been kind enough to write. Hope they will help to introduce the experiences that others have had with their Voice Lessons:

“Superior Teacher, Outstanding Vocal/Music Lessons
“Vanessa is an exceptional vocal instructor with an amazing ability to connect with my daughter... and elevate her skill level as a vocalist. Her commitment to supporting the needs and requests from the student is fantastic and I appreciate her dedication to the Arts and her ability to communicate the language of music with such vigor and clarity. Thank you so much Vanessa!” (C. H., March 6, 2014)

“Seriously, best instructor ever!
Courteous, friendly, knowledgeable professional.
Pleasure to work with and to learn from.” (M. A., October 20, 2014)

“Wonderful, comprehensive teaching! Although I have only been with her a few weeks, Vanessa has really opened my eyes (and my throat :) to excellent singing. Not only is she a pro when it comes to teaching good technique, she's also very attuned to singing as a physical, mental, and spiritual undertaking. Oh, we also have fun and laugh during every lesson. I can't wait to learn more!” (MJ January 22, 2012)

“Absolutely worth the time and the fees. Vanessa is an excellent teacher. She is very knowledgeable and experienced in her field, and does a wonderful job passing that on. My son has improved incredibly in a short time. She is also a great confidence builder, she makes my son feel that he can learn to sing any song he chooses and sing it well. She is also very personable and easy to work with. We are both very glad we chose her for lessons.” (From 17-year-old male student)

“THANK YOU, VANESSA!
“... I wanted to overcome the “old lady” vibrato syndrome if possible and to be able to sing without concern that those within earshot would shudder.
In addition, I was looking for certain attributes in a teacher:
• A person who is at my stage of life or beyond.
• A person who is knowledgeable in both singing and speech.
• A person with a personal teaching style that is positive and encouraging.
ENTER VANESSA PACE!
Vanessa is confident and knowledgeable. In addition, she has customized my learning program to suit my current objectives, which have changed from one week to the next depending upon my professional assignments from work and my personal creative pursuits.
In this year Vanessa brought me to a point of “breaking through” inhibitions and moving beyond what I thought I’d be able to do. Her constant use of cues to put me on track with the use of my voice has been invaluable! She compared letting sound pass through the vocal cords (without strain) in the same way breath becomes music through a clarinet. Using words like “Pull up your spine—you’re two inches taller!”; and reminders to draw on the strength of (underused) larger muscles to support the efforts of diaphragm have been helpful in numerous practical matters of everyday life.
Vanessa is inspiring in that she is a life-long learner and passionate about things to the degree that she invests in them with intelligent research, attention to science, and a spiritual passion that drives her to draw out the best in her students in similar fashion.
If you are looking for a voice teacher, Vanessa will work with you where you are--and help you move toward the goal of where you are hoping to be.
I am thanking God this Thanksgiving Season for Vanessa Pace.” (AT)
