We were voted #2 Best Fitness Spot in Everett in January 2017 by Live in Everett.  We were the only yoga studio that came in top three.

I opened Body & Brain in Everett at the current location 6 years ago in order to share the benefits I received as a member when I began 12 years ago.  I enjoy teaching classes that are fun and energizing and my reward is watching members improve.  I want to build a harmonious community that is about health, happiness and peace for all.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

We offer beginner education as a group class to make sure a new member is comfortable in all aspects of the class and have an opportunity to deepen understanding of our principles.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I started the fitness business after a financial career in the coporate world with the background as MBA in Finance and a CPA.  I have done all the trainings that are considered necessary to teach classes and manage the business through Body & Brain franchise program. I love what I do and I care about my members very much.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Yes, in order to change your habits and create new habits, attending classes consistently is the key to success.  We offer unlimited number classes for one month for $150, three months for $420, six months for $740 and one year for $1,290. There is a one-time registration fee of $35 for the textbook and the handbook that you receive as a new member.  We also offer private sessions and workshops to round out the wellness program.

How did you get started teaching?

I was a member of Body & Brain and started teaching weekly classes at my company in the beginning. When the weekly classes ended, I naturally started teaching at the center.  I enjoyed it so much I decided to formally become an instructor and did the training.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with students who have depresssion and anxity, insomnia, headaches, neck and shoulder tension, Parkinson's, Fibromyalgia, digestive issues like IBS and GERD, people who have joint and body issues due to prior surgeries and treatments, etc.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Went to Sedona Meditation Tour with 5 of my members and spent 4 days doing lots of meditation and communing with nature. On the last day, my members presented me with a gift of a beautiful Life Particles pendant that I always wanted.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Look for a teacher who listens to you and is honestly interested in helping you get better.
