My name is Chris and I am a private yoga and meditation instructor.

I take great pride in delivering quality yoga and mindfulness sessions.

Private yoga will help you find more mobility and flexibility, improve your strength, and allow you to move your body with ease. You can learn how to adapt to any physical challenges you may have.

Through the physical movement you will regulate your nervous system -- create energy, release stress, find a relaxation mode, ,move your body with ease. That is mind-body wellness.

Private yoga is customized just for you. I work much like a personal trainer, with the emphasis on yoga. I bring the one-on-one sessions to your home or office, or online at Zoom.

Most of my clients are over 40. Many are over 60. Each one is unique and there is a wide range of abilities. The one thing they have in common is they all understand the value of healthy aging and mind-body wellness.

My teaching style is that I take a modern approach to traditional yoga. Yoga has been around for thousands of years because it works! Let me show you how beneficial it still is in our modern-day lifestyle.

    Frequently asked questions

    Before working with a new student I like to do a brief complimentary interview, finding out a bit about their lifestyle, what they are looking for and why, and what they long term goal is.  Even if you don't any answers, it is a good place to start!  The first lesson would include going over some basic poses and breath work. When you are ready we could do a series of movements and enjoy some restorative poses.  More experienced yogis would have a different experience.  It is all about what YOU want!

    200 hours yoga teacher training completed in 2012. 20 hours yin yoga intensive teacher training. 25 hours Mindfresh training. 20 hours breathwork training. Great for the nervous system! About 100-plus hours of workshops and self-studies to increase my knowledge. Hundreds of hours of hands-on teaching students - the best education!
    Rates are usually for 45 or 60 minute sessions. We all know the value of good health. It is priceless! I am an experienced teacher and deliver quality sessions. I take pride in this. My rates reflect the value of my teachings. I do offer a COMPLIMENTARY session, if you are interested in booking a package of private sessions. My prices are always better when your purchase a package sessions.
    I found yoga when I was a single mom with two teenagers. I was amazed at what a stress reliever it was, I could increase my physical strength as my mind settled down. Soon I wanted to share this with everyone. In 2012 I completed my teacher training! I started teaching and continue learning. I love helping people feel good in their bodies while letting their mind slow down. The more I taught the more I saw the benefits of mindfulness. In 2017 I completed my Mindfresh training. I am excited to add mindfulness and meditation to my offerings. In 2018 I begin teaching private yoga sessions. I have been teaching yoga full time ever since.
    I have worked with lots of different types! I truly believe there is a yoga for everyone. They range from retirees, executives, former professional athletes, busy parents, chair yoga with a non-english senior, and all kinds of people in between, because we are all different! These have been in-person and online. I teach in homes, online, local studios and community centers. I teach workplace classes, retirement communities and assisted living homes. I have taught in luxury homes and homeless shelters. It is so inspiring to watch clients flourish!
    Every client I work with excites me! A few I am fond of......The athlete who is tight finds flexibility. The senior citizen who doesn't move much, finds enjoyment in movement and balance. The busy parent finds peace and ease in their body. The hard core busy worker learns to slow down, release tension and find strength and stillness.
    There are many aspects to yoga so don't be shy about saying what you are looking for, it helps the instructor to better serve you. Have a phone call or meeting to see if you connect. Keep looking, there is someone for you!
    Think about what your goals are. If you don't know, that is okay! Ask about the the teacher's style and method of teaching, time availability, whether you want in-home or classroom setting , in-person or online.
