About
My yoga classes are creative and inspire students to challenge themselves at a level appropriate for them.
I have had a passion for physical activity and movement since early childhood and trained in activities ranging from dance and gymnastics, to kickboxing and running. I took my first yoga class in college (over three decades ago) and was immediately drawn to the physical benefits of a daily practice and the relief it provided for chronic back pain. I particularly like sharing the benefits of yoga with folks who experience physical limitations, illness or chronic pain.
Having lived in Asia for several years, I have an interest in Eastern philosophies towards mind-body-spirit and take a more holistic approach to yoga.
I am a cancer survivor and yoga was instrumental in both my emotional and physical healing. My classes offer an integrative approach, emphasizing cognitive and emotional benefits such as reducing anxiety and depression, along with physical benefits such as accelerated healing in the body.
