Atha Yog Shala is a yoga school, open to people of all ages, shapes and flexibilities, cultures and religions, who really wish to step into the world of spirituality, self-care and self-understanding through the ancient wisdom of yoga.
The word Atha/अथ means Now.
An Auspicious start of your journey towards self in the Now.
It is very important to live in the now. Being present and mindful to बाह्य/Outer world and toअन्तः/Inner world, quietens your mind help one progress on their spiritual journey.
Atha Yog stands on the Philosophy of “Pure Service”.

She is a yoga-instructor coming from the holy city of Nasik, India who has dedicated past 12 years mastering the ancient wisdom of yoga from her Guru Srivatsa Ramaswami. She has a decade of experience of practicing and teaching the classical tradition of Ashtanga yoga, based on the Yoga-Sutras of Patanjali.
She is an ardent follower of Vinyasakrama style of yoga as taught by her Guru Ramaswami, which descends down from the lineage of Param Guru T. Krishnamacharya.
She completed her Masters in YogaShastra from Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University. Nashik.
She previously ran a successful yoga studio, Sattva Yogaschule in Germany and teaches Upanishad’s as well as various yogic texts like Hathayog Pradipika, Samkhyakarika, Yadnyavalkya Samhita to students seeking yogic degrees from universities.
She believes in integrating all yogic practice’s/sadhana’s with yogic philosophy and strongly advocates that every issue – may it be physical, mental or emotional, can be resolved if one inculcates yogic philosophy and commits to a regular yogic lifestyle.
She helps individuals and families through her workshops and consultations by designing a simple, personalised yoga practice, after taking into account one’s ability and current requirement.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First work up with their timings and schedules and then take a private consultation, all about their needs, current issues and help them plan a successful routine around it.

How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching first at YCMOU, Virginia after I completed my Yoga teacher training in 2014. And eventually opened my own yoga studio in Germany and then I When i was in India during Covid period, I successfully completed my Masters in Yoga Science.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have taught mostly adults and senior citizens.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I gave a lecture on weekend in Tumbleweed Recreation Center about Stress Relief through Yoga and it motivated lot of people to start their yoga-practice.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Only one advice, Teacher should be experienced not only with Practical part of yoga but also the philosophy.
