As Ambassadors of health we train children and adults to have physical awareness as well as self discipline using the art of Preying Mantis Kung Fu. As a student in this fun program you will work hard physically with structured exercises that burn calories, stretch muscles, increase oxygen to your heart and brain. In 2015 we were faced with a choice: combine the expertise and talent of several experienced martial arts instructors to take a risk and open the best independent martial arts school we could on our own terms, or simply let experience, expertise, and opportunity slip away... And here we are today, Amalgam Martial Academy! I have been a practitioner and teacher for 45 years. I was also a seminar leader at China's "Women in Daoism" conference in 2011 and presented my work with senior citizens at the 2009 International Tai Chi Symposium in Nashville, Tennessee. I have received numerous foundation grants for my work with senior citizens and in community mental health programs. Since I have received so many benefits from my Tai Chi practice, I enjoy sharing what I have learned. Particularly, I enjoy seeing people improve physically in terms of balance, mentally in terms of concentration and focus, and emotionally in terms of having a better disposition....
