About this pro

I have spent a lifetime in music composition, performance and instrumentation, with my material being performed by international stars of screen, stage and recordings. Whether you're looking to learn new instrument, improve on one you already know,  or explore the mysteries of songwriting,  I can help you attain your dreams.

I love to uncover and help nurture the talent that is hidden inside each student.  I have helped young songwriters find their voice – literally – and then guided them to well-constructed songs.  I encourage people of all ages to pick up instruments and coax the secrets of sound out of them.  Even if only for the satisfaction it can give.  If you're a pro, so much the better!

He is very concerned about making sure your creative vision comes to life in the best way possible. He has incredibly insightful advice but never tries to insert his ego into your project. He genuinely cares about his clients and wants to see them succeed.

Let me say this to you out there about my friend Bill Burnett. I have found Bill to be one of the most unique, creative, innovative and inspirational song writers of my life. I put him up there in the class of some of the great American song writers of our time such as Cat Steven's, Bruce Cockburn, Harry Chapin, Don Mc Clean, Donavan, Seals and Croft....etc. I being a singer/song writer myself, I can say Bill has greatly inspired me to reach to new heights to developing my singer/ song writer craft. FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I have a very organic approach to music.  Technique and theory are fine but music is a natural language and I like to find out first where a student is now in the magical journey of learning to play with that language.  Then I discover through conversation and playfulness what each student's strengths and weaknesses are and help them to realize their wishes.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

As a child and youth I took piano, clarinet, drums, and sang in numerous choirs.  I performed in theatrical productions and in movies, and also had my own band at a young age. When I was 16 my parents bought me a guitar and I pounced on that instrument and played it round the clock. Professionally I have been the musical director and primary composer for dozens of stage and television shows and had my work performed by Bette Midler, Patti Lupone and many others.
