About this pro

Since I teach guitar, bass guitar, drums, and keyboards, I have particular experience in rehearsing groups of family members or friends. So if you are looking to get a band together for fun or serious performance, I am your guy.

I have always provided the most care and effort for my students learning as well as the best value. I take the time to teach you what YOU want to learn. If its beyond your ability at the time, I will simplify it with an arrangement that suits your skill level. I am always creating take-downs (transcriptions) for my students because I have a good ear for replicating what I hear.

I can also help in the department of music composition and arrangement. My degree is in composition. If you want to start writing your own music, and arrangments for a group to play it, I can help you all the way.

I love being able to see new musical abilities flourish. Watching someone go from nothing more than a passion to learn to expressing a creative, musical gift. I love to jam/play with my students. We improvise and create musical fusion together as soon as we are able at all kinds of skill levels and its a rewarding experience. I love seeing students get excited about using their new musical talents in all kinds of creative ways (writing, recording, forming bands, etc.)

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Assuming it's a first time lesson, we spend a lesson getting acquianted with our instruments, learning basic music structures (chords, scales, arpeggios), and learning one creative application that's fun to play (a riff, groove, chord progression).

However with all new students I will take some time to find out what you want to be able to do. What music you want to learn, what styles you want to be able to play in, what you want to do with your music, etc.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have had formal music trainining for around 14 years and have my bachelors degree in music, partcularly in composition. I have been teaching music for about 6 years.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

FOR ONLINE

Standard: $25 for 45 minutes (best in-between for guided practice and lecture)

Minimized: $20 for 30 minutes (best for kids or saving money on multiple students)

Maximized: $30 for 1 hour (best for intensive training and expedited learning. I provide guided practice and exercise)

What types of students have you worked with?

As young as 4 and as old as 80. Kids, parents, people looking for hobbies, people wanting to further themselves in the music world/industry. Everyone is a good candidate for music lessons.
