About
I have years of experience with dozens of students and that's backed up by a world class music education from Berklee College of Music. I'm flexible with travelling to the student and I also provide lessons over Skype or Facetime.
My favorite thing is the moment right before a student is able to play something perfectly. They're inches away from it, but in that moment they realize that they're about to do something that they thought was impossible just a few minutes, hours, or days ago.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always identify the direction the student wants to go in before moving forward. This might seem obvious, but I find that too many teachers start pushing scales and theory on students before showing them how to play real music.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a graduate of Berklee College of Music, where I played and studied with some of the best instructors in the world, including David Tronzo and Ritchie Hart (George Benson).
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching in Boise, Idaho, where I mostly taught kids aged 8-14 and adults. Once I started college in Boston, MA, I taught college-age students and young adults.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students from a wide range of ages (elementary school to middle age), experience (just starting out up to a decade of experience), and interests (R&B, rock, country, neo soul, multitonic bebop jazz, etc).
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
During the summer of 2017 I was fortunate enough to work with Performing Arts Workshops (voted best summer camp in Los Angeles by LA Parent Magazine) teaching guitar to kids aged 7-12.
