About this pro

Achieve your musical goals on the guitar with an experienced and patient instructor.

I can show you how to play songs, teach you about music theory and chord progressions, help you learn scales, and help you develop a better sense of rythmn and timing.

Our time together is yours. If you want practice playing songs together or learn the various aspects of the instruments it is totally up to you. I am here to serve your musical needs.

Music is a wonderfully powerful creative force that enriches our life experiences through the art storytelling. It elicits emotional responses in listeners and players, connects people from all walks of life, and helps make the world a better place.

Since I was a boy, I have passionately pursued this force through my guitar playing.  I am eternally grateful to have learned, and continue learning the instrument from incredibly gifted and talented musicians- each of whom has helped foster my musical abilities and interests. In turn, I love sharing my knowledge and passion of the instrument with others.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

We will have an initial meeting regarding your goals, musical influences, your proficiency on the instrument, the type of guitar lessons you are interested in (acoustic or electric) and then formulate a lesson plan based on this information.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have studied music theory and guitar performance at Rivers School Conservatory, and Berklee College of Music.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

$60/ Hour for acoustic or electric guitar lessons.

$200/ Mo. prepaid for 4 - 1 Hour lessons to be mutually scheduled.

How did you get started teaching?

As I developed as a player friends and associates started asking me for guitar lessons. This developed into teaching all skill levels.

What types of students have you worked with?

All ages and proficiency levels.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Open Mics and Performance Nights, which allow students to showcase the skills they have learned and practiced to a live audience.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Find an instuctor you feel comfortable with and one that will help you achive your musical goals.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Why do you want to learn to play the guitar?

Is it to better understand music? Is it to express yourself creatively? Is it to impress someone and / or be seen as cool?

There is no wrong answer, but the answer to the question will help focus the training and practice towards your goals.
