Demo lessons are provided to see whom of MusicAlley's teachers are the best fit.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

MusicAlley teachers have decades of University and professional work related experience in teaching and real world performance.

How did you get started teaching?

MusicAlley was founded by Ms. Reiko Israel. Reiko began teaching private lessons decades while studying at University and working as a performer.  She then gained further experience working at other music schools and junior colleges.  In 2009 she decided to open her own music school based on all of her education and experience, creating an enviornment that combines traditional and contemporary educational practices to best fit each students needs and goals.

What types of students have you worked with?

MusicAlley has worked with a wide range of students, from those preparing to go on to Performing Arts Schools or preparing for demanding auditions, to children with a variety of developmental disorders. MusicAlley also teachers adults who are returning to music or starting for the first time for their own personal interests.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Above all students, and the parents of young students, must be able to communicate openly with the teacher about their specific interests and goals. Learning is an ongoing conversation for both the student and the teacher.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Simply think about what you want to get out of your lessons.
