About
Lauren's Vocal Studio is a traveling studio with the education and musical background that provides students with a well rounded musical experience that includes: music theory, healthy vocal technique, detailed piano technique, clarinet technique and music history. Students who are part of Lauren's Vocal Studio come away from lessons knowing the difference between the right and wrong way to sing as well as the difference between the right and wrong way to play piano and clarinet. It is my goal to provide the best education possible that allows my students to sing the healthy way throughout their whole life.
Growing up, I knew I wanted to be in music and I wanted to help people. What I enjoy most about teaching is that it allows me to do both of those things. There is nothing more rewarding than helping a student overcome performance anxiety or understand how to properly sing. When I'm teaching, there are moments where I get to watch the light of understanding turn on in my students and that's when I get my paycheck.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My first lessons with a new student always involve me getting to know them and most importantly, how they learn. Taking the time to understand a student's learning style is what sets me apart from other teachers because I believe that learning is not cut and dry and that it comes in many different forms. That is why I cater my teaching style to each student's specific needs.
