About
Welcome! I’ve been teaching students at various levels of playing music for over 25 years. I teach harp, piano and voice. I love to instruct beginning students to give them a strong foundation of fundamentals. I am classically trained but also play popular and jazz stylings. Music is the joy of my life and I am eager for my students to increase their joy in playing as they develop their individual gifts. For more advanced students I see my role as coaching them and giving confidence and exposure to broaden their range of styles.
As a professional harpist I’ve played in many orchestras including OCC in Costa Mesa, La Miranda and others. I was the harpist at the Crystal Cathedral for 20 plus years. I’ve also played concerts in Germany.
Vocally I’ve soloed in 4 seasons of Bach Cantatas. I’m confident in languages of German, French and Italian singing.
Piano was my first instrument which I’ve always loved. For me it is the basis of all music reading and study and a springboard to reading and understanding the basis of music. The piano is still one of my favorite instruments!
I have a BA in Music Education , and a Bachelor’s and Master of Music in Harp Performance.
I’ve also taught general music and choir in various public school districts in Southern California, principally in Garden Grove and Saddleback districts.
I love inspiring students to increase their confidence in playing, develop their gifts and to know the joy music brings to their lives!
~~ I look forward to being your teacher and guide!

MM in Harp Performance - University Arizona, and BS in Music Education from University of Illinois.
