Hi! I'm Mike and I've been teaching music since I started high school at Orange County School of the Arts! I recently graduated from the UCLA Herb Alpert School Of Music (Global Jazz Program) and have been building up my studio of students since 2020. I've had a lot of great teachers growing up and since then I've realized what does and doesn't work for most students. My curriculum is tailored toward the student and we always have a good time during lessons!

Michael is an excellent instructor. Not only is he skilled in multiple instruments including the bass guitar, he is knowledgeable, patient, and able to communicate complex ideas in beginner terms. He also takes the time to learn the favorite music genres of the student and adapt the lessons accordingly. I highly recommend Michael as a music teacher.

I appreciate how Michael starts by asking my nine year old how his day was or what’s new. Michael has a good balance of being serious enough about the lesson and being a good person that kids enjoy being around.

Mike is a wonderful teacher and guide. He is passionate, patient, and committed to your growth as a student. He is also an expert, and truly knowledgeable and expert in various styles of music. So if youre curious about something, he will explore that curiosity with you! He is also conscientious of what it takes to actually learn - and provides videos, links, and any other materials needed to keep the learning going in between lessons.

Mike is an awesome, super personable teacher. I was an absolute beginner and he completely customized a practice plan for me that incorporated songs I love. It’s clear that he really loves teaching and wants his students to know how good it feels to learn an instrument and use it as a way to express yourself. I definitely recommend his classes to anyone.
