About
I’ve been playing guitar and bass professionally for 30+ years on both coasts. If you already play rhythm and want to learn how to solo, I can help you. If you’re a beginner, I will skew the lessons toward music that you like to make it more interesting and rewarding.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
On the East Coast I was getting $40 an hour, $25 for a half hour. I prefer hour lessons because a half hour just goes by too quickly.
How did you get started teaching?
I’m an English teacher, so I began giving lessons after school around 2001.
What types of students have you worked with?
i have worked mostly with middle and high school students.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Seeing John Mayer live in Las Vegas.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a teacher who teaches chords first so you’ll be playing songs almost immediately. Many teachers start off teaching notes which takes forever. If you’re not playing a song after a Month , move on.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think about how serious you are about it. Do you want to play in a band or just by yourself?
