What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Make sure they are creating good habits, with practice, warming up properly and maintain a regular practice commitment. It doesn't have to be long, but rather it should be consistent. Reviewing your basic theory and developing your ear. Most importantly, to connect your passion with your instrument and have a good time.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 25 years of professional experience with teaching and gigging. I come from a family of musicians my father is a conductor Pianist and arranger and my mother is a singer. I studied at the grove school music. Mostly I have life experience with music
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Generally I gauge price by my time so an hour of my time I charge $100 but is it on a sliding scale depending on the economic situation of the student.
How did you get started teaching?
You need to earn a living while you work on your art and teaching is an important part of learning

I've taught ages 5 to 70 years
