About this pro

I'm a graduate of Musician's institute in Hollywood, CA. Ive been playing guitar since age 9 and I'm now 31. I'd like to say that I have a strong work ethic especially when it comes to music.

Im fluent and can teach in the areas of Guitar technique, Music Theory, Harmonization, Ear Training, Solfege, DAW/recording classes, sheet reading, time/metronome, songwriting, song learning, voice leading, Rock, Djent, Jazz, Metal, Country, Ambient, and Pop etc.

If you love music and haven't seen the progression that you visioned. Then it's time to stop relying on websites and putting time into your practice and own playing. I'm comforatable working with all ages and all skill levels.

I can work with you via skype or zoom

This is my current project:

Thank you so much for your time and have an exceptional day.

I love creating and teaching music. I'm a firm believer in doing the things in the most practical way possible to yield the right results. I want to inspire someone to be better, follow that dream they've been sleeping on, and grow with music.

Music has been really great to me and my livelihood and I definitely recommend pursuing it.

I had my son take lessons from Garrett and liked that he gave me the option to travel to him, or having him come to me. We mostly had a mix where he would come once a week and we'd have him skype the next lesson. his service is convenient and also made my son excited to play music and thats the biggest thing i love.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

The best place to start for every musician is with a solid foundation in music theory and showing how it relates to your instrument. Also fine tuning a learners ear so they not only know what's happening in the tune but they can internally feel it.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a Degree from Musicians institute in Hollywood, CA in Guitar Performance. [06/2019]

A Vocational Certification in Audio Engineering & Live Sound Engineering from Musician's Institute in Hollywood, Ca [04/2020]

I'm also a United States Army Veteran [2011-2015]

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

I'm open to being negotiable on my rate, however, I do feel $30/hr is fair for what I can provide to you.

How did you get started teaching?

After graduating from a music school I felt like I could be a great teacher and help people learn the way they want and tailor a plan for them

What types of students have you worked with?

I've had students from different age groups from young to over 50 years old . I have no issue when it comes to age I believe the mind is the strongest muscle a person possesses and yes they can be an amazing musician with the right education.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

i recently played a show at the observatory with some great friends and I was truly fond of it. I also went to Swan fest at the National Grove of Anaheim and did sound there. In general I love music, concerts and festivals and my band is currently on the road to do so.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
