About
I have several years experience teaching all ages, from youth to adult, and all levels of musicians, from beginning to advanced. I have taught group lessons, band camps, high school marching bands, and individual lessons. From this variety of experiences I have learned how to make music lessons in any situation both effective and fun!
I love connecting with new people and learning about them. From there, we learn together how music best fits into your life!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first thing I want to learn about my new students is the reason they are looking for lessons! Whether you're an elementary school kid just curious about the guitar or an adult who is has always wanted to play the drums, I will tailor my teaching method to suit your needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended George Mason University as a music performance major, and also took multiple music education courses. I have been a student of music since 4th grade, all the way through college!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Lessons are $30 per half hour, $60 per hour. Pricing may change for multiple students/multi-instrument sign ups.
How did you get started teaching?
I started in college to make extra money and quickly realized I love teaching!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with ages 5 - 60, beginner to advanced. I have worked with special needs students and I am comfortable teaching all types of people.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Looking forward to the next music recital with my awesome students!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone who you connect with, and listens to your needs as a student. A great teacher can be a life changing experience!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
How often do I need to practice? How committed am I to coming to my lessons every week? What is driving me to learn how to play my instrument?
