I am a Cal Plan member of the Music Teachers Association of California working towards an active membership. As a Cal Plan member, my students are eligible to participate in the Certificate of Merit program.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
At the initial consultation, I determine which method best suits the student's learning style.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors Degree in Liberal Studies with a minor in music. I also have a multiple subject teaching credential.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching piano during my 3rd year of college. I love sharing the gift of music with others.
What types of students have you worked with?
Most of my students are in grade school, but I've taught several adult students through the years. You are never too old to start Piano. It just takes patience and a little time on a regular basis for practice.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Do you have a piano or full sized (88 weighted key) keyboard at home?
What style of music are you interested in learning? (Classical, Jazz, Pop, Rock and Roll)
Ask about the teacher's studio policy on missed/cancelled lessons?
Do you want to perform for others or play for self?
