About
Teaching and playing Piano is my life passion. As a professional pianist and a teacher with over 30 years of teaching experience I prepare students for recitals, competitions, Certificate of Merit CA State Evaluation Test. My students always win the competitions and pass the tests with Honors. I've got my Master Degree in Russia and teach in CA for more then 20 years. It's great to see my students get more skills with every next level and become musically educated people.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
With every new student I figure out first if student is a beginner or has already some experience in playing piano. The beginners start to learn the proper hand position, how fingers have to work, basic music grammar, learn different songs according to the age of the student. If students used to play piano before I check the level of their knowledge in technic, sight reading, piano theory, the level of the songs what student learned and we start from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated Ural State Conservatory in Russia and got Master degree in Piano Performing and Teaching.
What types of students have you worked with?
I teach a students of all levels and ages.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
When you look for a teacher to hire, make sure the teacher has a special music education, degree and some number of years of teaching experience.
