Donovan Raitt has been teaching guitar since the age of 18, and has continued teaching lessons in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas since 2001. Mr. Raitt earned his bachelor's degree in guitar performance at the University of Southern California's prestigious Studio/Jazz Guitar program as a recipient of the Paul LaRose Memorial guitar scholarship and completed a Masters of Music at Cal State Long Beach, where he studied with Jazz guitar legend Ron Eschete.
In 2006, Mr. Raitt accepted a position of Adjunct Professor of Guitar at Concordia University, Irvine, where he has developed and successfully implemented their 4 year guitar curriculum. Mr. Raitt also teaches at Golden West College in Huntington Beach, CA. Several of Mr. Raitt's students have gone on to professional careers in music, and have been accepted into some of the best guitar programs across the country.
