What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We need to know what brought them in, desired goals. Then we assess their students experiance and abilities to find the right curriculum for each student. Our specialty is one on one private instruction.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have instructors who are Berklee College Music graduates with degrees in Film Composition, Video game sound design, as well as Cal State Long Beach music grads, The owner Brad Cummings is a Bass instructor and long time friend of Robert Trujillo of Metallica fame.

How did you get started teaching?
We have been playing professionally for over forty years having recorded and or played live with artists from Sting to Rita Coolidge, Kieko Matsui, Pat Simmons (Doobie Brothers), Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots), Burning Sensations, movie soundtracks for Mira Max, IMAX , and commercial jingles for Morongo Casino, PIP printing, Sprite/Coca Cola, Store Quest etc etc...Some currently running on TV and Radio.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have taught at the request of Rob Trujillo, and still consult with him on stuff, we have been friends for years.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Having Rob Trujillo call me a legend at "bass and short board surfing" and "full respect" in a magazine interview was very cool...
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone who listens to you, not try and impress you....Everyones goals are different and you have to have "Fun" along the way
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What inspired you to want to do this?
