About
I teach small group piano lessons to about 60 students in my north San Jose/Berryessa piano studio on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8-6 pm. Students enjoy supporting each other in their learning journey, plus we learn to play music together, so fun!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We first do a free introductory session to see if we are a good fit.
We learn to play songs directly at the piano, both hands, including contemporary, blues and classical pieces. My students play great sounding music from their very first lessons.
As we continue, we learn accompaniment, Improv, and reading skills.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve been a professional musician since 1996 and a piano teacher since 2010.
I have played piano, guitar, and clarinet since childhood. I chose not to major in music in college, however I took college level music classes and have continued to improve my music skills throughout my adulthood as well, performing professionally as well as playing for fun.
